Gary Hill, in performance with (in different performances of the piece): Walter Wright, Sara Cook, Meryl Blackman, Susan Robinson, Judy Bachrach; approx. 60 min.
Synergism was first introduced at the Woodstock Video Expovision as one of the video theater nights under the direction of the artist. Each performance of the work was an outgrowth of previous performances and an ongoing process of searching for a possible language between dance, sound, light, and video. Performance incorporated live and prerecorded video, tape delay, audio and video synthesis, and processing and sculptural elements.
