Painted rectangles of varying colors were stenciled throughout the artists’ colony of Woodstock. The number of rectangles grew exponentially over the duration of four nights. Consequently, the citizenry grew more and more concerned over the spreading of this “graffiti.” This lead to a documentary made by the artist entitled Color Event, 1973.
